Calling All Budding Entrepreneurs

Bedford i-kan business incubation centre is launching a competition for budding entrepreneurs which could help turn business ideas into a reality.

‘GO FOR IT!!’ is a business start-up competition, which invites innovative new business ideas. Entrants are asked to submit a short summary of their business idea which will then be judged by a panel of business experts. Everyone entering the competition is in with a chance of winning one of three key prizes, which have been donated by Bedford i-kan, which is located on Mill Street. Prizes are:

·Use of a POD workstation for 3 months at Bedford i-kan

·120 hours hot desking space at Bedford i-kan

·3 Bedford i-kan virtual tenancies for 3 months

Winners will also have access to business advice provided by Wenta, use of Bedford i-kan meeting rooms at discounted rates, a business phone number, PC’s with internet access, business postal address and on-site WiFi.

To enter the competition you need to fill in an application form. The closing date for the competition is 31st August 2009. Short-listed entrants will be required to attend interviews during September. The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony at Bedford i-kan.

To help entrepreneurs on the way, special information sessions have been organised. The ‘GO FOR IT!!’ Competition Information Sessions and Business Start-Up Information Sessions will be held at Bedford i-kan on Wednesday 15th July 2009 from 1 pm to 7 pm.
